Today we went to the zoo with our friends Amy, Andres, Emily, Megan, Milla, and Belle. Three adults and six kids. Thank goodness we could strap most of them in strollers or some of them would be sleeping with the monkeys right now; they can really get going vocally and on their feet. We had a great time, saw a few animals (they seemed to be pretty sleepy in the warm weather), and had a picnic. Kinsey loved being in the company of other little kids; I think that was more exciting for her than seeing the animals. Although she was brave enough to pet a goat -- it was a quick pet though. Kyler loved anytime I let him free from the stroller. He loves to move around.
We got a membership to the zoo last year for Kinsey and Kyler because we all love the zoo and then we can go often without worrying about the expense (and go for shorter trips which is much easier with little kids). Usually Kinsey's favorite animal is the hippo. And she loves seeing "baby Jaguar" who isn't actually a baby, but she called it that because she had seen "Diego" on TV a few times. I don't think Kyler has a favorite animal right now. He likes seeing everything and being outside, but also points out all of the airplanes flying over just as much as pointing out any animals.
