Praying

Kinsey has always been reverent (well, for a two year old) during family prayer at least said Amen at the end. Then she progressed to repeating a few words after Mom or Dad. But this last month she decided that she can pray by herself without any help -- and she insists on being the one to pray. So every night she kneels down (rather more of a laying down with her arms folded and head down) and starts at it. I understand the beginning, but pretty much nothing else of what she says (and it is often a very long prayer) until she says Amen and pops up. It is so incredible to see and hear.


Sometimes when someone isn't feeling well, or they need help with something, her Dad will ask if she wants to pray for them ... kind of like a blessing, but a prayer ... and the two of them will pray. It has made such an impression that often during the day while she is playing she will say that the baby doll or Dega is sick and she will pray for them. The first time she did it was just amazing to me. It is great to see that some of the good things we try to do really stick with her.
