This year for Halloween Kinsey was a fairy/princess. Of course that is what she dresses up as every day, so the hard part was to convince her to wear heavy tights and a shirt underneath to keep warm. Kyler recently started saying that he wanted to be a yellow forklift, but I didn't have any idea what to do with that, so at the last minute we just used last year's chicken costume because it would be very warm. There was no church party for Halloween, so we went trick-or-treating to a few friends in the ward, and then a little around our neighborhood. Both kids were so excited, and even more so when they realized that they got candy. We managed to avoid getting them too scared (by the great dead pirates inhabiting our neighbor's house and the various ghouls and fog machines at other houses), and they had a great time. Kinsey got too cold eventually, especially as it rained/drizzled off and on the whole evening, but Kyler always wanted to go to "one more house!" So cute.
