What's new this week -- April 12

We had great weather at the beginning of this week so we went to the Farm to play outside (while things are dry). We stayed outside the whole time alternating between the trampoline, the bubble machine, the swing, and looking for frogs in the ponds. Mom got a sunburn, but everything else was great fun.

We were all kind of tired the rest of the week. We mostly stayed home and played with toys. Kyler even let Kinsey boss him around having picnics with dolls and making "food" in the kitchen, and such. She also got upset quite a few times and tried to yell and push him around. But on the whole, they have been very nice to each other.

We were reading the Very Hungry Caterpillar and I mentioned how sad the caterpillar looks when he gets a stomach ache. A little later Kinsey began to cry and cry like her heart was breaking. No she said, she wasn't hurt, she was just sad. Finally she said that she felt so bad for the caterpillar. Holy smokes, what a reaction. Had to do some major distraction to make her happier again.

Kyler likes to wear my slippers around the house. He also likes to pull magnets off the fridge and stuff them in the slippers and then wear them. He is also starting to talk/use the play phones, although he still doesn't say much on the real phone.

It rained all Easter day, but the sun came out just before bed, so the kids and I took a little walk outside. Kinsey and Kyler had fun jumping in the puddles and collecting magnolia petals to toss in other puddles. Fun stuff.
